The Store Built for the Walk Through the Terminal
Gate Swap started the way most airport shirt exchanges do: [a group chat, a trip to [Cancun], and one shirt that did not fit the person who drew it]. We spent two days scrolling marketplaces, found a hundred shirts that would get someone pulled aside at security, and none that were funny about flying itself. So we made our own.
What we make
Shirts for the moment the group opens the bags after check-in. Funny-travel jokes, confident claims nobody would make about themselves, patterns visible from the next gate, and a family-safe tier the kids can pick from. Every design is ours, drawn in [Indianapolis], and printed to order in the US so a four-person order and a twelve-person order ship the same week.
The gate check
Before a design goes on the site it has to pass three questions. Could an airline call it lewd or obscene? Does it mention security, weapons or anything you cannot say at an airport? Would the kid in row 14 learn a new word? Three no's and it ships. That rule is why Gate Swap shirts get stares and not conversations with a gate agent.
